WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Fiat Chrysler FCHA.MI to face civil penalty of $ 9.5 million to settle claims it misled investors by failing to reveal it only conducted a review internal limited compliance with emissions regulations and that government engineers were concerned about emissions from some of its diesel vehicles, the top US securities regulator said Monday.
The automaker has neither admitted nor denied the findings of the Securities and Exchange Commission in agreeing to the settlement.
