Jets Sign QB Trevor Siemian to Practice Squad
Trevor Siemian’s NFL Journey
In his six NFL seasons, Trevor Siemian has started 30 games and thrown for 7,027 yards. He has recorded 42 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. Siemian’s journey began as a seventh-round pick for the Broncos in 2015. He played three seasons in Denver, accumulating a 13-11 record as a starter with 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
Return to the Jets
This will be Trevor Siemian’s second stint with the Jets. He was initially signed in 2019 to back up Sam Darnold but unfortunately sustained a season-ending ankle injury in a game against the Browns. After a brief signing with Cincinnati, Siemian has now returned to the Jets as a member of their practice squad.
Zach Wilson Continues as Starting Quarterback
Zach Wilson, the rookie quarterback, will make his third consecutive start for the Jets in their upcoming game against the Chiefs. Despite the addition of Trevor Siemian to the team, Wilson retains his position as the starting quarterback. Tim Boyle serves as Wilson’s backup in the Jets’ recent losses to the Cowboys and the Patriots.
To finish on a strong point, the Jets have bolstered their quarterback options by signing Trevor Siemian to the practice squad. Siemian brings experience and depth to the team, while Zach Wilson continues to develop as the starting quarterback. The Jets look forward to their upcoming game against the Chiefs with Wilson leading the offense.
