Southern Ohio Communication Services plans $ 3.8 million investment
WAVERLY, Ohio – Southern Ohio Communication Services Inc., in conjunction with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) and Pike County Economic & Community Development, in a press release announced plans to invest $ 3.8 million in providing 64-mile high-speed home Internet (FTTH) fiber-optic service to 1,300 residential and business customers in southern Ohio.
Company officials said in the statement that the investment represents the first phase of a two-phase approach to provide broadband fiber-to-home broadband Internet service into its rural footprint in Pike and Scioto counties.
