The police are warning business owners on the Northwest Side of a spate of burglaries reported in recent weeks in Jefferson Park and Mayfair.
In each incident, burglars broke through a fence or broke locks to get inside and fled with sewer inspection equipment and other tools, Chicago police mentionned.
A burglary was reported around midnight on February 23 in the 4700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, police mentionned.
Another happened at 2:20 a.m. on February 26 in the 4500 block of North Elston Avenue, police mentionned. The third took place 10 minutes later in the 5200 block of North Elston.
The suspects were described as four to five men wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information was asked to call zone five detectives at 312-746-7394.
