FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – Clay County public health officials provide an update on their COVID-19 vaccine expectations recommended by Governor Tim Walz over the next two months.
At present, officials are still vaccinating health care providers, people 65 and over, K-12 teachers and educators.
Once they receive 70% of vaccinations with 65 and over, they will expand to those with underlying health conditions and risk of workforce exposure.
These workforce exposure hazards are workers who cannot keep a distance of six feet from each other like factories in the meat market.
From April, officials will begin to focus on people with specific high-risk diseases such as Down syndrome, cancer treatment, immune compromise for organ transplants and sickle cell disease.
