Colorado Department of Health Confirms Fifth Case of COVID-19 Mutant Strain |  Health

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has confirmed a fifth case of COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7 and will include variant totals in the case summary on its COVID-data dashboard. 19, according to a press release.

Scientists believe the mutant strain is more contagious than the SARS-CoV-2 variant more commonly seen in the United States and abroad.

The health department said it plans to update the dashboard information every day around 4 p.m. and that the new information will help Coloradans more closely monitor the transmission of coronaviruses.
