Columbia Boone County Department of Health to Provide Update on New Health Ordinance

Columbia County Boone Health Department To Release information on the new health order Monday afternoon.

The current health order will expire on March 4.

The main change in the current order has allowed restaurants and bars to stay open until midnight. Owners of local restaurants and bars said the change would save them a lot of money they couldn’t make under tighter restrictions.

The health department reported 139 active cases of the coronavirus in Boone County on Monday. Eight residents of Boone County who had active cases were hospitalized with the virus.

The positivity rate in Boone County was 11.9 on Monday. It had reached 36.4 at its highest point between December 25 and December 31, 2020.
