In these troubled times, I wonder which of the two titles is used the most. I see small businesses fail daily and yet supermarkets, football games, football, basketball can continue to sell and play. Our local restaurant followed all protocols established by the CDC and the Governor. They all wore a mask, they sanitized every table, menu and condiment container after someone touched them. They closed the tables to enforce social distancing and yet they were closed. Why?
I believe it is because money talks. Thanks to the efforts of the owner and staff of our local small businesses, they should have been able to stay open. Department stores and sports have the revenues to carry them out even though you see sports being played without a mask, without social distancing. Department stores require a mask but do not impose social distancing. So what has this state and this country come to? For myself and others I have spoken to, I think common sense has trumped the almighty dollar.
