Despite strong sales in December, consumer and business spending edged down in East Baton Rouge Parish in 2020.
Spending topped $ 9.7 billion in 2020, down 0.3 percent from the nearly $ 9.8 billion spent in 2019, according to figures from the parish city’s finance department.
