WICHITA FALLS (KFDX / KJTL) – An immunization clinic could help reduce lines on the waiting list of health officials for people in need of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The clinic will be operational this weekend.
This was made possible when 975 doses became available after North Texas State Hospital received and finished administering them on their first shipment.
Although they were unable to reallocate doses to other providers, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission granted them the authority to use what is left for this appointment vaccination clinic.
“We have our waiting list and we have started calling these people, if they don’t answer their phone we won’t leave a message and ask them if you have a missed call and you think it is. the health department, please do not. call here, ”said Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health Director Lou Kreidler.
