US Representative Charlie Crist calls on US Department of Justice to investigate Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “clearly political vaccine distribution decisions” – including pop-up site Reserved only for residents of two Lakewood Ranch zip codes – violating federal law.
Crist, D-St. Petersburg, who served as governor of Florida from 2007-2011, sent a letter to Acting U.S. Attorney General Monty Wilkinson, writing that DeSantis “establishes distribution and administration of coronavirus vaccine sites to select locations for the benefit of political allies and donors, beyond the needs of high-risk communities and existing waiting lists in counties. “
