OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County Health says 6 News how they plan to follow through on the president’s announcement to have enough doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for every adult in the United States by the end of May.
Things change quickly when it comes to vaccinating Americans and throughout the pandemic, according to Douglas County Health, plans are often abandoned and redone.
“And that’s definitely something we had planned,” Department of Health spokesman Phil Rooney said.
Now the time has come. The county health department says vaccinations have increased over the past month.
But now they must figure out how to vaccinate the remaining adults across the county.
“We will scale up as needed, but a lot can go through doctors’ offices, some can go through clinics, others through pharmacies. So we’ll have to figure out what we’re talking about, ”Rooney said.
