Everyday Educators: Meet Don Kutchey
Don Kutchey, a social studies teacher at AGS Middle School, has been dedicated to his profession for the past 24 years. Growing up in a small town, he understands the importance of having supportive adults in students’ lives. He aims to hold his students to high standards while providing them with the necessary tools for success. However, teachers like Don need support from outside the educational system to improve the profession and attract more young people. Education is the foundation of our society, and it is crucial to invest in it.
Coaching and Making a Difference
Aside from his teaching responsibilities, Don Kutchey is also involved in coaching various sports for Fenton Area Public Schools. He has coached middle school football and basketball, and he currently serves as the varsity girls coach. Don finds coaching to be a rewarding experience as he witnesses the progress his players make both on and off the court. Through coaching, he aims to instill important values and skills in his athletes, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals.
