According to TMZ, Kyle, 31, was arrested on March 13 for “felony aggravated assault” in Tennessee’s Rutherford County Jail. The source also disclosed to the publication that the former reality star had been freed following the payment of a $3,000 bond.
Us Weekly can confirm that Kyle Chrisley was detained two months after his father, Todd Chrisley, and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, reported to prison for tax evasion.
Kyle, whose mother is Teresa Terry, Todd’s first wife, has long battled mental health and addiction concerns.
Chloe, his 10-year-old daughter with ex-wife Angela Johnson, was living with his father and stepmother at the time owing to his “addiction and my mental condition,” he stated at the time, adding, “I take medication and I had a severe side effect to it, and I tried to take my own life.”
The former Chrisley Knows Best star was hospitalised in 2019 after making an attempt on his life. On a subsequent episode of his dad’s podcast, “Chrisley Confessions,” he discussed his mental state.

Todd and Julie were both dealing with personal concerns at the time. They had been accused of tax evasion, bank fraud, wire fraud, and numerous charges of conspiracy a month earlier. They received prison sentences in November 2022, and two months later, they each started serving them. Julie, 50, is doing seven years in prison and Todd, 53, is serving 12.5.
