As his parents reported to prison, Kyle Chrisley was arrested for aggravated assault two months later

Further legal issues are looming for the Chrisleys.

According to a press release from Smyrna Police that PEOPLE was able to receive, Kyle, who is currently employed by Penske Truck Rental in Smyrna, got into a violent fight with a manager. The 32-year-old reality personality is accused of brandishing a “fixed blade” during the confrontation.

The Smyrna Police Department in Tennessee detained Kyle Chrisley, Todd Chrisley’s formerly estranged son, on Monday for severe assault, according to a public citation.

The next day, Kyle “voluntarily attended” for the active criminal warrant’s booking procedures, according to the press statement. His bond was set at $3,000, according to the authorities, and he was sent to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Facility.

PEOPLE has contacted Kyle’s representative for comment.

According to the public citation records, Kyle must return to court on March 20.

Kyle was arrested two months after his stepmother Julie, 50, and his 54-year-old father Todd reported to the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianna to begin serving their respective sentences of 12 years in jail.

After a jury found the Chrisley Knows Best duo guilty of a multimillion dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scam, the couple was sentenced to a combined jail term of 19 years in November. Upon their release from prison, Todd and Julie must each complete an extra 16 months of probation.

Kyle posted a verse from Matthew 7: 1-3 on his Instagram Story after they were sentenced. “If you judge, you will also be judged. Because you will be judged according to how you assess others, and you will receive what you measure “verses were read. Who are you to focus on the sawdust in your brother’s eye while ignoring the plank in your own?

Todd’s ex-wife Teresa Terry is the mother of Kyle and their recently estranged daughter Lindsie Chrisley. After the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch was granted custody of his son’s daughter Chloe with ex Angela Johnson, tensions between Kyle, Todd, and Julie grew worse. They have subsequently made amends, Kyle later revealed.

In 2019, he posted on Facebook, “I haven’t been the best parent to Chloe. “I’ve had a drug issue, I’ve done absolutely foolish things, and through it all, they’ve stuck by my side.” He continued, “I went to my dad with an apology nine months ago. “He said, “I love you always, and you are forgiven,” and with those simple words, he welcomed me back into his life. I shall always be appreciative of his kindness and affection.”
