The “Midnights” period of Taylor Swift still has time left.
The tracks are “Eyes Wide (Taylor’s Version),” “Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version),” “If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version),” and “All of the Ladies You Loved Before.”
In honour of the Eras Tour, the “Anti-Hero” singer announced on Instagram on Thursday that she will be releasing four previously unheard tracks. Their premiere is scheduled for midnight.
Due to the inclusion of the “(Taylor’s Version)” tag in their titles, three of the four tracks that Swift is releasing appear to be rerecordings.
Swift’s 2010 album “Speak Now” included a deluxe edition that contained the song “If This Was a Movie.” Swifties have conjectured that “Speak Now” is the next rerecorded album she intends to release because she is known for inserting a lot of Easter eggs in her songs, videos, and social media posts.
Swift recorded new versions of her past albums after her former company, Big Machine, sold the master recordings of her discography in 2019. Swift released “Red (Taylor’s Version)” and “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” in 2021.
Which re-recorded album Swift intends to release next is still unknown.
The song “Eyes Wide” can be found on the soundtrack for the 2012 movie “The Hunger Games: Music from District 12 and Beyond.” The song, along with “Safe & Sound,” is on the soundtrack but was not originally in the movie.
According to Variety, “All of the Ladies You Loved Before” is an unpublished song Taylor Swift recorded in 2019 for her “Lovers” album. Swift’s much anticipated Eras Tour will begin on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, and will be her first tour in five years.
