In addition to a significant name change, Nikki and Brie Bella have announced their retirement from WWE.
In their WWE careers, The Bella Twins are laying the smackdown.
The twin sisters decided to go with their birth surnames, Nikki and Brie Garcia, or simply as The Garcia Twins, and made the decision public on Tuesday.
Nikki, who is 16 minutes older than Brie, continued, “We’re going to be 40 in November, we’re mothers, we’re entrepreneurs, we’re executive producers, we’re starring now, we’re hosting programmes.
On the edition of “The Nikki & Brie Show” on SiriusXM airing on Tuesday, Nikki said, “Today we are officially the Garcia Twins from here on out.” Brie and Nikki Garcia.
The twins said they “simply knew it was time to head onto this next phase” after their contract with WWE expired.
On Tuesday, Brie Bella stated, “I just want to thank you.
“The person I’ve been for the past 16, 17, years—the name, the character—everything… I can’t wait to put the chapter on Brie Bella to rest, start a new book, and discover what Brie Garcia will do next. The pair initially joined WWE in 2007, with Brie wowing fans first in August 2008.
Three months later, in a move that became known as “Twin Magic,” Nikki memorably took her sister’s place in the ring. The Bellas rejoined WWE in 2013 following their departure from WWE in 2012.
The two also signed a significant contract for the popular television programme “Total Divas,” where Nikki became the longest-reigning WWE Divas Champion. Afterwards, Nikki and Brie participated in “Total Bellas,” a spinoff that aired for six seasons between 2016 and 2021.
