Chloe Zhao Wins Best Director at Critics Choice Awards; Dedicates him to the mixer of his ‘Nomadland’ Michael Wolf Snyder
Nomadland was a big winner at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday March 7th.
Chloe Zhao won the Best Director in Film award, and the film also won Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Picture, and Best Cinematography.
During acceptance speeches, Chloe and producer Mollye Asher dedicated the awards to Michael Wolf Snyder, who was the sound mixer for the film.
Michael sadly died by suicide at the age of 35 last week, according to a report by Deadline.
“Thanks Wolf. We honor you, ”Chloe shared in her speech after recalling some special moments on set with him. “We will see you on the road my friend.”
