The 2021 Golden Globes feature siblings as ambassadors for the 78th annual ceremony, as director Spike leeson of Jackson and daughter Backpack will get to shine on television. Jackson is the first black Golden Globes ambassador

Not only are Jackson and Satchel making Globes history as the first siblings of color to hold the post, Jackson is the first black man to get a nod from the Ambassador. Actor Idris elbadaughter of Isan elba was the most recent Black Golden Globe Ambassador in 2017, while the actor Tim reiddaughter of Tori was the first Black Miss Golden Globe (as it was then called until 2018) in 1999.

Jackson will wear Gucci at the Globes

Jackson is a proud New Yorker

With his 63-year-old father being one of New York’s greatest cheerleaders, Jackson grew up with so much pride for the Big Apple. On February 20, he shared a Photo on his Instagram account with his sister Satchel and mom Tonya lewis lee, all wearing a black Gucci t-shirt with white letters read “New York against everyone.” He was even present in court next to his father in Madison Square Garden, watching Spike’s beloved.
