Kaitlyn Dever to star in revisionist version of ‘Romeo & Juliet’
Kaitlyn Dever has an exciting new movie in the works!
The 24-year-old actress, best known for her work in Booksmart and the Netflix series Unbelievable, will star in the upcoming film Rosaline, which is described as a “comedic and revisionist version of Romeo & Juliet”.
The film is based on the novel “When You Were Mine” by Rebecca Serle, whose novel “Famous in Love” was previously made into the Freeform series.

Deadline describes the novel as a ‘modern take on the classic Romeo and Juliet tale, we see’ the most famous love story ever told ‘through the eyes of Juliet’s cousin, Rosaline, a sharp but idealistic young woman – who happens to be Romeo’s recent ex. What starts off as an attempt to foil the famous romance and win her man back becomes a journey of self-discovery as she ultimately works to help bring the star-crossed lovers together.
The screenplay will be written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who wrote the films (500) Days of Summer, The Fault in Our Stars and The Disaster Artist.
Kaitlyn was also cast as the daughter of two superstars in a highly anticipated film.
