Merrick Garland is a former judge and lawyer

Garland’s first major appointment came in 1995, when President Bill clinton appointed him to a position at the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, by USA today. The personal life of Merrick Garland

Garland married his wife, Lynn rosenman, in 1987. Lynn also comes from a family that practiced law. The couple share two daughters – Rebecca and Jessica. The two young women are graduates of Yale University. Jessica also appears to have an affinity for the law and apparently follows in her father’s footsteps, according to her LinkedIn page.

Garland attended Harvard University for undergraduate studies and law school. He graduated in 1977 before moving to Washington DC to work as a clerk at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
