Months after Nicole Kidman vowed to do her best to play Lucille Ball, the Big Little Lies actress was seen with bright red hair on the set of Being The Ricardos.
Being the Ricardos, Aaron Sorkinthe drama of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, has yet to release an official image of Nicole kidman like the star of I Love Lucy, but now fans get a taste. On Tuesday (April 13), Nicole, 53, was seen in full gear, wearing a “shoulder-length wig” of red hair and a hooded coat, according to the Daily Mail. In the pictures – that you can see here – Nicole was wearing a cream colored blouse, a pale green blazer and brown pants. At first glance, the look doesn’t read exactly like “Lucille Ball,” but given the nature of the upcoming Amazon drama, this laid back look may be history.
The film takes place during a week-long production of the iconic television comedy I Love Lucy, by Deadline. Being The Ricardos covers the period between reading the Monday table and the public shoot on Friday. Along the way, “Lucy and Desi face a crisis that could end their careers and one that could end their marriage.” Since production has just started, could this be the preliminary plans for this read table?

Nicole’s casting was initially met with some skepticism from fans online, but she said she was convinced she could do it. “With the words of Aaron and his direction and Javier [Bardem, cast as Desi] … It’s kind of a wonderful prospect, you know. But yes, it’s gone. Try. Do my best – see if I can do it. “
