The teaser, which is being aired during ABC’s coverage of the Oscars’ pre-show, reveals that Streep is portraying a theatre performer named Loretta. She appears in a table read for Oliver’s play against Charles, Oliver, and Rudd’s Ben Glenroy.
On Sunday, Hulu released the first trailer for Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated murder mystery starring Meryl Streep, who has won three Oscars. She is one of numerous newcomers to the A-list cast, which also includes Ashley Park, Jesse Williams from Grey’s Anatomy, and Paul Rudd, who was introduced in the Season 2 finale (Emily in Paris). They join returning cast members Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin as series regulars.
Streep is a guest star, not a series regular, the streamer is also reiterating.
What then is “her”? John Hoffman, a co-creator of the sitcom, recently told TVLine, “Well, I would love to tell you that. I’ve been dying to tell you that. But I also like how fans may have wondered that between Seasons 2 and 3. Simply said, it is a question we asked ourselves and we immediately responded with a very clear answer. (I wonder whether that’s Loretta.)
The Season 2 conclusion of OMITB, which aired on August 23, included a year-long time leap and Rudd’s introduction as Charles’ problematic co-star. The TV’s former Brazzos approached the Ben about his behaviour on the opening night of their performance. He said, ‘Keep away from her. I am aware of what you did. Later, Ben passed away on stage after collapsing.
We do know that Mabel Mora, played by Gomez, will experience happier days when Season 3 begins. “There is light… Hoffman joked at the time that she would soon experience a “new tint” in her life. She has been able to remove that heavy shawl from her a little over the course of the past two seasons. She has some fresh challenges and is considering concerns about her own life, but she is approaching them with a lot more optimism.
