Queen Elizabeth to deliver remarks hours before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle meet Oprah
Queen Elizabeth will give a televised address hours before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The televised speech will take place during regular Commonwealth Day service, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 8 but has been canceled due to the pandemic. Instead, the BBC will broadcast a Commonwealth Day special on Sunday, March 7 which will feature Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex. The show will include a pre-recorded message from the Queen.
The Queen’s speech will come just hours before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to give Oprah an interview.
This all follows Harry and Meghan’s official announcement that they will never return to royal duties.
