The renowned performer and artist has partnered with Disney+ to promote a unique event for her eagerly awaited eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation. The release of Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) on Disney+ coincides with the day her album is released, which is March 10.
Miley Cyrus is coming back to Disney after abandoning her infamous blonde Hannah Montana wig more than ten years ago.
The upcoming show, which will include performances from Cyrus’ unreleased album — including the number-one hit and popular TikTok song, Flowers — has her listed as an executive producer. Along with six more songs off the new album, a classic hit of hers (perhaps Party In The USA), and a duet with Rufus Wainwright, Cyrus will also perform.
The programme is a continuation of Cyrus’ 2012 series The Backyard Sessions, in which she performed both original music and a number of popular covers.
The musician, who turned 30 last November, will likely appear in several of the special’s interviews. Perhaps the programme will shed some additional light on the numerous rumors surrounding her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth’s purported extramarital affairs.
Disney+ tweeted the singer’s popular song lyrics, “I can buy myself flowers,” as the first preview for the impending event.
It’s a major deal that Disney and Cyrus are reunited. With the success of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, the artist became a household name. From 2006 until 2011, Cyrus portrayed the persona who was living a double life. The musician made an effort to distance herself from the spotless Disney image after going solo and releasing music under the name Miley. Once some time has passed, Cyrus is prepared to rekindle her relationship with Disney.
On March 10, Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) will be available on Disney+.
