“The Bachelor” Producers Finally Tackle Online Hate Toward Rachel Lindsay; Call it ‘inexcusable’
Bachelor Nation has released an official statement following the online hatred directed at Rachel Lindsay.
If you’re not familiar, Rachel was the butt of unsolicited comments from fans of The Bachelor as she continued to call out racism on the show and behind the scenes.
Rachel had even turned off her Instagram account amid the ongoing discussion of racism surrounding the show and Chris Harrison leaving the franchise after a series of controversial remarks.
Now, when The Bachelor airs tonight, the show has spoken about the situation.
“Rachel received an unimaginable amount of hate and was bullied online,” the statement read. read. “It is totally unacceptable. Rachel has been an incredible advocate for our cast and we are grateful that she worked tirelessly for racial equity and inclusion.

Some fans, however, are unimpressed with the statement, which comes two weeks after messages of hatred towards Rachel started to heat up.
“Two weeks is a long time to write this lukewarm statement. I would love to hear what steps are taken by eps to avoid further harassment and / or how you are more inclusive in all aspects of the show, ”wrote one fan.
Another added: “Their lack of response for years is inexcusable…”.
