The new Oscars 2022 broadcast date will be Sunday, March 27, one month after the scheduled date. Winter 2022 is already busy. The 2022 Winter Olympics will air in February, along with what should be a perfectly normal Super Bowl in early February.
The Oscars traditionally don’t air at the end of March, so it’s a bit of a surprise!
The show is set to return to the Dolby Theater in Hollywood after the 2021 show held elsewhere was downsized due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ratings for this year’s Oscars weren’t great, and the Academy is surely hoping for a rebound year with a ton of qualifying films this year.
