Trevante Rhodes to play Mike Tyson in unauthorized Hulu series About His Life
Hulu is making a TV series about the life of Mike Tyson and they just found their leader!
Trevante Rhodes, best known for his work in Moonlight and Bird Box, will play the legendary boxer in the limited eight-episode Iron Mike series.
Deadline notes that the series “will explore the wild, tragic and controversial life and career of former world champion Tyson – one of the most polarizing figures in sports culture.”
The series is unauthorized because Tyson has previously expressed that he is not happy with the series. He’s actually working on a separate series about his life with an Oscar winner attached to playing him.
The team behind me, Tonya – director Craig Gillespie, screenwriter Steven Rogers and producer Margot Robbie – reworked for this project. Production will begin later this year.
