LONDON (AP) – Prince William said on Monday that his grandfather, Prince Philip, was ‘fine’ as the 99-year-old royal wife remained in a hospital to rest and be watched.
William was asked about Philip during his visit to a coronavirus vaccination center in eastern England.
“Yes, he’s fine, they’re keeping an eye on him,” William said, and winked at him.
Philip was admitted to King Edward VII Private Hospital in London on Tuesday after falling ill. Buckingham Palace has said Queen Elizabeth II’s husband is due to stay in hospital this week for a “watch and rest” period.
