Health Ballad: More of 30,000 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered, 78 hospitalized patients |  WJHL

JOHNSON CITY, Tennessee (WJHL) – Officials at Ballad Health released the system’s latest COVID-19 issues on Wednesday, March 3, announcing that 78 patients were receiving treatment for the novel coronavirus at Ballad hospitals.

As of Monday, 76 patients were reported as hospitalized in the Ballad system.

The following is a breakdown of COVID-19 data provided by Ballad Health on Wednesdays:

Total number of COVID-19 patients in hospital: 78 Total number of COVID-19 PUI (patient under investigation): 3 designated COVID-19 beds available: 44 Number of COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit: 16 Number of COVID-19 patients on ventilator: 7 First doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered: 30,341 Second doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered: 27,750
