Generations is excited to announce the upcoming events aimed at promoting senior health and well-being. On October 4th, Senior Education Ministries, in partnership with Generations and Vincennes University, will be hosting Dine with a Doc®. Attendees will have the opportunity to fellowship with peers while receiving valuable information from medical professionals, with a free lunch provided by ProRehab.
Another program offered by Purdue Extension in partnership with Generations is A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls. This 8-week program, starting on October 2nd, is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Participants will learn practical strategies to minimize fall risk factors and improve strength and balance.
In addition, Generations is collecting items each month to supplement the Build-A-Basket program for the holiday season. This month’s collection items include totes, hampers, laundry baskets, tall trash cans, heavy-duty bags, and more. Donations are greatly appreciated and will help create additional baskets for those in need.
