Authors Katy Faust and Stacy Manning are promoting their new book, “Raising Conservative Kids in a Woke City: Teaching Historical, Economic and Biological Truth in a World of Lies,” to help parents navigate and fight against woke culture in schools. They advise parents to saturate their children in truth and beauty, expose them to as much of the good, true and beautiful as possible, and teach them to be shapers of culture. For middle school-aged children, parents should expose them to the lies of the world to help them evaluate ideas on their own. The book provides a recipe for teaching children about various topics based on their age.
As per the analysis by Fox News, woke culture is becoming a pervasive force in many blue states across the United States, with woke ideologies infiltrating schools and curricula. However, two moms from Seattle, Washington, are fighting back against this narrative and are teaching other parents how to combat some of the radical ideas they say their children are being exposed to in school.
Katy Faust and Stacy Manning recently appeared on “Fox & Friends First” to discuss their book and the ways in which parents can guide their kids through today’s challenging landscape. Faust stated that, although it may seem like children are set up for failure, kids don’t have to fall victim to woke culture.
“The good news is your kids don’t have to be victims of the current cultural infection,” Faust said.
Faust also emphasized the importance of teaching children how to be shapers of culture, saying that they don’t need to be afraid of or consumed by today’s woke culture. In their new book, “Raising Conservative Kids in a Woke City: Teaching Historical, Economic and Biological Truth in a World of Lies,” the moms share tips for how to balance protection and exposure for children.
The “recipe” explains how parents should teach their children about various topics based on their age. For example, Faust said parents of elementary school-aged kids should try to filter out as many woke ideas as possible.
“Your job as the parents is to saturate [children] in truth and beauty,” she said.
The authors’ book aims to help parents navigate wokeism and appropriately guide their young children through today’s cultural landscape. The moms share tips on how to balance protection and exposure for children and teach historical, economic, and biological truths in a world of lies.
It is essential to teach children how to be shapers of culture and not to be afraid of or consumed by today’s woke culture. As parents, our job is to saturate our children in truth and beauty. By doing so, we can help our children become the next generation of leaders, who will shape our culture in positive ways.
