The National Equipment Finance Association raised over $25,000 for nonprofit organization Operation Open Water at a fashion show charity event during its 2023 Finance Summit in San Diego. The event featured 10 models showcasing stylish clothing for over 100 attendees. Operation Open Water is dedicated to helping heal the minds and bodies of first responders and veterans through ocean and open water experiences. The NEFA is committed to supporting charitable organizations in the cities where its events are held and is already planning its next event in San Antonio. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health after their service.
The National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) hosted a fashion show charity event as part of its 2023 Finance Summit in San Diego on March 21, raising $25,340 for Operation Open Water, a non-profit organization that helps first responders and veterans through ocean and other open water experiences.
The event featured 10 models showcasing various stylish outfits, from James Bond-inspired looks to the famous blue suit from a Jim Carrey movie. More than 100 attendees participated in the event and contributed to the funds raised.
Danny Nichols, co-founder of Operation Open Water, expressed his gratitude for the support and said, “On behalf of all of us at Operation Open Water, we are so grateful to everyone involved with NEFA for believing in our mission to support the health and wellness of every veteran and first responder through unique training programs, fellowship and open water adventures.”
