Lawyer Lena Y. Meredith and paralegal Kirstin V. Sherrer, both of the Nicholson, Meredith and Anderson law firm in Greenwood, say they noticed a surge in inquiries about legal documents in the summer of 2020, as new cases of the coronavirus multiplied across the country.
They said people asked about documents such as wills and last wills, enduring powers of attorney and health care power of attorney.
Through phone calls, video conferences, social distance meetings, and even having you sign legal documents while sitting in your car, Sherrer and Meredith are working to meet customer needs safely during the pandemic.
Sherrer said he received phone calls every week from people with loved ones hospitalized or isolated as a result of COVID-19.
