YPSILANTI, Michigan – The Washtenaw County Department of Health has launched a new Covid-19 vaccine data page share the county’s weekly immunization progress with the community.
Immunization data are disaggregated by age, race or ethnicity, and postal code. The site will be updated weekly and will help the Department of Health and other vaccine vendors monitor progress in the region.
The effort also aims to ensure equity by increasing the number of people of color who are immunized locally as community partners move through phases of immunization beyond essential health care and workers.

“Reliable data are essential to understanding and improving health equity, ”Washtenaw County health officer Jimena Loveluck said in a statement. “This information helps us identify existing disparities in our local immunization rates and inform ongoing efforts to immunize those most vulnerable to COVID-19 or less likely to be vaccinated. “
