BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) – High water began to seep into several businesses along Route 60 on Tuesday.
Jay Swann, Rachel and Jack McGinnis started working early where more that a foot of water had already entered the building.
“We have overcome COVID with grace, by the grace of God,” Swann said. “Seeing this and what you’ve worked for is heartbreaking.”
The trio own Appalachian Pest Control & Appalachian Janitorial Services and they never imagined they would buckle up their waders to get to the office.
“Your whole life is sitting there, and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Swann said.
Flood waters destroyed five of their vehicles and they tell WSAZ they lost all office supplies that were under four feet.
