For seventh consecutive year, Lincoln Financial Group has been named to Dow Jones Sustainability Index

The prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America has designated Lincoln Financial Group as a member for the seventh year in a row. This index honours businesses who excel in terms of their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and represents Lincoln Financial’s ongoing dedication to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Amber Williams, Chief Sustainability Officer of Lincoln Financial Group, said, “We are extremely honoured to be recognised by the distinguished Dow Jones Sustainability Index for North America for the seventh consecutive year. At Lincoln, we keep setting high standards for ourselves and holding ourselves responsible for conducting business sustainably.

Among North American insurance companies, Lincoln Financial placed this year in the top quartile in the assessment’s Business Ethics, Risk and Crisis Management, Climate Strategy, and Talent Attraction and Retention categories.

Lincoln Financial is dedicated to being a leader in matters of governance, social responsibility, and the environment, and it keeps increasing openness by changing public disclosure. Lincoln’s inclusion on the DJSI is a recognition of its leadership in the life insurance industry as well as a testament to its ethical business practises, accomplishment of environmental goals, and steadfast commitment to employee growth and wellbeing.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), which were first introduced in 1999, are the most well-known worldwide sustainability indices. The DJSI standards, which were developed together by S&P Dow Jones Indices and Robesco SAM, take economic, environmental, and social activities inside significant publicly traded corporations into account. Each year, businesses are invited to take part in the DJSI Corporate Sustainability Assessment, with the most sustainable market caps in each category ultimately being chosen for inclusion on the index based on their sustainability scores.

Lincoln Financial is still committed to minimising its environmental impact in accordance with scientifically sound standards and evolving best practises. Lincoln Financial exceeded its 2020 goal of reducing emissions by 25% by the year 20251 by reducing emissions by 38% on the basis of a baseline for 2019 instead.

Additionally, Newsweek Magazine’s 2023 listings of the Most Reliable and Trustworthy Companies include Lincoln Financial. Lincoln Financial has been acknowledged as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series for 21 years in a row for exceeding corporate standards for ethics, the environment, and social responsibility.
