SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah running back Jordan Wilmore has announced his transfer to the Fresno State football program.
Jordan Wilmore entered the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 14 after two seasons with Utah, he will now travel to Fresno State.
Wilmore announced his decision to join the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon, saying ‘let’s go’, on Twitter.
Wilmore will play closer to home as Fresno is a 3 hour and 22 minute drive north of his hometown of Lawndale, Calif. In 2019, he ran the ball 49 times for 194 yards and a touchdown. This season, Wilmore has made 18 carries for 54 yards in two games. He entered the portal five days before Utah’s regular season final against Washington State.
The move comes after Devin Brumfield put his name in the portal. The emergence of genuine freshman Ty Jordan led to fewer portages for Wilmore and Brumfield.
