Hawaii Health Officials Encourage Immunizations For Students Entering 7th Grade Before Classes Begin

Before the first day of school, 7th graders must provide documentation of having received the following vaccines or risk being excluded: What parents need to do:

FDA to authorize Pfizer coronavirus vaccine for those as young as 12 Call your child’s healthcare provider now to schedule an appointment for a physical exam, as part of their well-child visitDuring this visit, the healthcare provider will:Conduct a physical exam and administer immunizationsAnswer your and your child’s questions about health and wellnessComplete the required formSubmit the completed form to the school your child will attend before the first day of seventh grade

A physical exam is also required within 12 months before starting seventh grade. Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis vaccine)HPV (human papillomavirus vaccine)MCV (meningococcal conjugate vaccine)
