Governor Brad Little’s announcement that teachers and school staff were being moved to the top of the priority list surprised health and school districts.
BOISE, Idaho – The excitement was accompanied by surprise across Idaho after Governor Brad Little’s announcement on Tuesday that school staff and teachers could start receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
“We had planned this deployment in February, so it was certainly surprising news but good news,” said West Ada spokesman Char Jackson.
It also surprised the health districts. Neither Central District Health nor Southwest District Health knew the governor was going to announce the teachers had been moved in the planned deployment.
