If you’ve tested positive for COVID-19, health experts say there are steps you should take.
The North Dakota Medical Association (NDMA) encourages people who test positive for COVID-19 to contact their health care providers as soon as possible.
Even if you don’t think you are at high risk for complications, you should consult your doctor for treatment options.
There are two drugs available to people at high risk that health officials believe can reduce the risk of serious illness.
“This is a safe, effective and early early treatment for active coronavirus disease, and instead of waiting for things to happen, we are fighting COVID in the early stages of the disease,” said said Dr Josh Ranum.
Dr Ranum says that using these drugs will also help reduce the number of cases requiring hospitalization.
