“Testing is a central part of trying to get us back to our usual life that we used to know because it will reduce the number of cases,” said Dr Manoj Jain, infectious disease consultant for the COVID-19 Joint Task Force.
The Shelby County Health Department said there were around 17,000 community-based COVID-19 tests site appointments available this week only.
