You may or may not see the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra as a huge upgrade over the S20 Ultra, but there’s no denying that the company has tweaked the camera setup a bit. The most notable change is the replacement of the 48MP periscope zoom camera with a 10MP dual telephoto lens, promising up to 10x optical zoom. Other than those two, the specs stay the same on paper: there’s a 108 MP main camera, 12 MP ultra-wide, and 40 MP selfie camera.
The camera system does have updated sensors on board, however, and new software tricks are partially enabled thanks to the Snapdragon 888. All cameras now support 4k60fps video capture, which is a first for a Galaxy phone. There is also a 12-bit RAW file option, which helps you when you want to change the fine details of your S21 shots.
