CAMBRIDGE – Governor Larry Hogan visited Dorchester County Department of Health (DCHD) staff during vaccination site at the Hyatt Resort in Cambridge on Friday February 26.
DCHD distributed the vaccine to the Blue Point restaurant at the Hyatt complex after initially administering injections in one of the property’s ballrooms.
“We have reached some milestones today,” Hogan said of the 1.2 million COVID vaccines administered in Maryland, which equates to 40% of the eligible population of the 2.39 million in current phases 1a, 1b and 1c.
“We have huge demand and insufficient supply, but it is coming,” the governor said.
“We are making progress, not enough to make everyone happy,” Hogan regretted, “You can’t make an appointment for a vaccine that doesn’t exist.”
