How Employers Can Meet the Demand for Holistic Health Care Benefits

Consumers expect a personalized brand experience, and this extends across their continuum of care.

As 2021 approaches, it’s widely believed that the workplace – and what employees expect of it – has changed forever. We can expect broader trends in consumer-driven health care like telehealth and patient-centered care to begin to creep into employee benefit wish lists. As businesses determine how to maintain employee engagement in remote and hybrid “ work-from-home ” models for the foreseeable future, the lines between work and home are increasingly blurred, and employees look to their employers for resources that go beyond traditional benefit offerings.

While COVID has been a catalyst for telehealth, other major forces are coming together that will change the way we consume health and wellness in the future. Providing virtual care has become a core expectation and may prove to be the easiest piece for employers to perform. Gen Z employees, when they enter the workforce, are also changing the dynamics of the health care system, and will be game-change for employers and providers.
