HUNTINGTON – Allison White was convinced her community was ready to support their local bars and restaurants, but realized there was no organized avenue to provide help, so she created one.
White, a native of Huntington and owner of Sip Downtown Brasserie, created the Huntington Bar and Restaurant Relief Effort (HBRRE) to provide this infrastructure.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all personally, professionally and socially,” she said. “Companies have closed in record numbers, and those that have survived have not done so without a struggle. The service sector has been one of the hardest hit across the country due to restrictions, closures and workforce issues.
