IT SLU Hosts Second Spring Conference in Industry Connect Distinguished Lecture Series |  Livingston / Tangipahoa

HAMMOND – The Department of Computer Science at the University of Southeast Louisiana hosts the second installment of the new Industry Connect Spring Semester Excellence Lecture Series at 4 p.m. on March 18 via Google Meet.

Jacquelyn Morie, Founder and Chief Scientist of Virtual Reality Company All These Worlds LLC, will be giving the free lecture “Creating Meaningful Works of Virtual Reality (VR) Experiences”.

Morie’s company creates virtual environments for NASA and the Army Medical Command. She recently created a second company for augmented reality applications called The Augmented Traveler Corporation.

“All These Worlds LLC is active in social virtual reality, mindfulness, storytelling, art and stress relief applications, including a completed project for NASA called ANSIBLE, a complete virtual world ecosystem designed for providing psychological benefits to future astronauts who will undertake isolated missions to Mars, ”said Bonnie Achee, professor of computer science. “Dr. Morie is also studying the use of personal avatars to …
