“We prayed for it,” McKnight said. She described when she got the call telling her she was going to get the vaccine:
“I got up from my chair after I finished praying, I walked around my chair, my phone rang… Jordan Health Center,” she said.
McKnight said she was “very surprised” to receive this call.
Saturday was the second of five immunization clinic days. Friday was the first, and three more days are scheduled for next week. The center learned earlier this week that it would receive 440 doses of the vaccine and staff immediately began to prepare.
“Immediately our team took action,” said Juanita Washington, director of communications and marketing for the center. “Our staff and teams here are working around the clock to first identify eligible patients, then contact and schedule them.”
