BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Kern County Department of Public Health Services reported one new death from COVID-19 and 145 cases today.
These bring the county’s total to 103,143 resident cases and 827 deaths. The ministry reports that 36,663 people have recovered from the virus and 57,301 people are believed to have recovered. 8,253 more people are isolating themselves at home and the state reports that 163 are in a hospital.
KCPH said 331,121 tests came back negative and 481 are pending.
There were 62,274 cases among 18-49 year olds. People between 50 and 64 years old represent 18,810 cases while there are 9,602 cases among those 65 and over, according to the department. There are 12,391 children who have tested positive for the virus.
