Because conditions have improved, Lee Health said it is able to safely remove the visitation restrictions. As of Wednesday morning, Lee Health is treating 85 COVID-19 patients (inpatient), six of whom are children being treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Since Tuesday, the hospital system has had nine new COVID-19 hospital admissions and has discharged eight COVID patients.
Visiting hours vary by unit, but generally end at 8 p.m., according to Lee Health’s website. Visitors are asked to limit in-room guests to two at a time. The hospital system said those who are visiting with COVID-positive patients are still limited to compassionate care situations. Masks and social distancing are still required in all Lee Health facilities.
